I see what they're saying and why they're saying it. For the long-term their picks probably make the most sense, however the longer we hold a stock, the less we can be sure about it's future right? However, for short-term investments as they show, you could have made a killing. With the stock market being so unpredictable and possibly ready to crash (the conditions are ripe for it), I would sell any stock that has a decent profit. Motley Fool sells their tip service hard, and I'm guessing their subscribers would have missed out on great opportunities if they would be willing to take some risk.
